TED NIAMA KOMBO
If there’s one thing you could change in the fashion industry what would it be?
I think I would try to offer a broader spectrum of people in the industry. Models, photographers, editors, I would like to see more inclusion of different races, origins, beliefs etc. Although the industry is slowly evolving thanks to some people, there is a lot of improvement to be made. For example, I think it's crazy that in 126 years of existence, no black photographer shot a cover story for American Vogue until this September issue.
What do you love most about yourself?
Physically, I would say my mouth. I love its shape and I think i have pretty good teeth too. Mentally, I'd say my open-mindedness.
If you could spend a day with any super model in the world, who would it be and why?
Probably with Iman, because she's an OG and she's always been gorgeous.
What's the craziest thing about you?
Probably my intense connection with the Italian Renaissance in papal Rome and with the 80's in Miami. I dream a lot about these eras and I strongly feel like I would have belonged in them, for whatever reason.
